Case of the Month: October

Primary Bar with Ti Superstructure

The client requested a fixed bar with a removable superstructure to be designed for the maxillary arch on 4 implants. The client has also requested a single primary bar and the incorporation of a superstructure telescopically designed to engage the bar telescopically whilst keeping the anterior lingual profile bulk to a minimum. Based on the requirements a fixed Primary Bar with Equator attachments and a Telescopic superstructure was chosen. The characteristics of this arrangement allow for a profile that will incorporate a frictional fit between the two structures. The attachment systems chosen for this case were Rhein 83 Equators. The profile on the superstructure connects to the bar and has acrylic retention elements incorporated in the structure intended for superior resin bonding.
