About the Role

We are a designer and manufacturer of patient-specific dental prosthetics. Within the dental industry we have pioneered fields of engineering to create some of the most advanced dental prosthetics in the market. We have seen continued rapid growth and that’s why we’re looking for a Dental Designer (CAD) to join our Irvine operations..

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the Osteon USA operations and be involved in all aspects of CAD design. In the role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Work with Exocad design software to create full arch CAD designs including all on X designs.
  • Identify, own, and resolve any customer and operational issues to drive continuous improvement.
  • Design intricate 3D CAD Designs in Exocad.
  • Thoroughly scrutinize designs to detect flaws prior to machining
  • Administer revisions to rectify anomalies, discrepancies, inconsistencies or irregularities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all designs and models created.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during the design process, such as fit and function problems.

About You

The ideal applicant is highly proficient with Dental CAD design software, and has strong Exocad design software knowledge. You will bring the following attributes:

  • Experience with full arch dental CAD design
  • Strong problem solving to identify and solve problems that may arise during the design process.
  • Creativity in designing dental appliances that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Experience using software and other computer-based technology either dental industry specific or a similar software platform (Exocad preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in understanding requirements and specifications, as well as to convey design proposals and updates.
  • Degree in Science, dental technology, or a similar field

+ Dental Technician - Finishing

We’re looking for a dental technician for our finishing team. In this role, you will be vital to improving patient oral health by fabricating fixed and removable prostheses. You’ll play an important role in building dental hardware to improve quality of life for our patients.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Read and understand specifications and examining impressions or models to determine the design of dental products to be developed
  • Polish surfaces of prosthetic metals with the aid of polishing tools
  • Use small hand tools for the preparation of metal surfaces for bonding with other materials in order to create implants
  • Complete implantology procedures by fabricating prostheses to fit implants for placement in the patient's mouth by the dentist.
  • Construct prostheses by following the dental professional prescription by polishing and finishing the appliance prior to its being dispatched
  • Hand finishing of final dental prostheses and constructing dentures
  • Creating documentation in our computer system including reports, logs, and records

About You

+ CNC Programmer

About the Role

We are a designer and manufacturer of patient-specific dental prosthetics. Within the dental industry we have pioneered fields of engineering to create some of the most advanced dental prosthetics in the market. We have seen continued rapid growth and that’s why we’re looking for a Senior Dental Lab Engineer to join our Irvine operations as we expand into the US market.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the Osteon USA operations with the potemntial to step up into a management position as we grow our US operations. You’ll be an important member of the Production Team to manufacture prostheses according to CAD designs.

We’re looking for a CNC machine programmer/ operator to oversee all aspects of production at our state of the art facility. In the role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Programming and operating machines
  • Operating machines using Siemens and Heidnehein controllers
  • Scrutinizing designs to detect flaws prior to machining and ensuring appropriate geometric tolerances are entirely correct by conducting CMM inspections
  • SolidWorks designs and using 3D measuring instruments
  • Performing maintenance on the machines
  • Performing QC functions

About You

We’re looking for a candidate who ideally has experience in medical devices and ISO 13485 accredited environment.

You will have:

  • Experience in the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes using CAD/CAM software.
  • Strong proficiency in programming and operating CAD and CAM software such as SolidWorks and PowerMill.
  • A good understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing quality control procedures and standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to analyse complex manufacturing problems and develop effective solutions and identify potential issues and make improvements to existing processes.
