Case of the Month: OCTOBER

nexus hybrid

The client requested a fixed prosthesis on 6 implants. This case had some challenges due to the palatal placement of implants and the intended lingual tooth profile.

The Nexus Titanium bar with Multi-layered Zirconia overlay was chosen, this allows for a rigid titanium substructure to connect to all implants and a profile in the unsupported areas which is aimed at reducing the flex between the adjacent implants which bare the largest span.

A multi-layered zirconia overlay was chosen, this is intended to be permanently cemented together at completion using resin bonded cement. The client also requested the protruding lingual access holes to be captured in the lingual design of the bar with a highly polished profile that conforms to the intended lingual tooth profile. The result is a slimmer lingual/labial profile with a homogenous feel to the patient.
